Obtaining a crew together can be somewhat tough, however its less hard as you might think. I'll demonstrate some tips I have learned in my opinion in filming and placing good eb team.

When shooting a movie you have to take everything into consideration. To achieve this, we separate everything into different departments, rendering it much easier to manage. I am going to list some departments here, although yours may be a little different: Production which include producer and any assistants, Art including the musicians, sets, props etc, Make-up, including hair, make-up and costumes, Camera which can be who is shooting the scene using the camera, Sound and Lighting, which is where your technicians come in, and Crafting, basically making food etc. Yours may have more departments then that, but that's the essential set up.

Knowing anyone in the industry with a form of experience of filming, editing, shooting or anything like this, try to acquire their help. In case your just starting out you probably wont know anyone that way, however its often a good idea and get your friends if they do. Maybe they did just a little project awhile back you didn't know about, or before you met them. It never hurts to ask.

In case your friends do not have professional experience, maybe their friends do. Ask your pals if they know anyone that has experience within the film making industry. The probabilities could be small, but when beginning out those chances will probably be huge to suit your needs.

Lets back up to asking your mates for help again. But this time don't be concerned about when they have experience with the show industry. Maybe they have skills that relate to business in general. You might have friends which are good at writing, monitoring money, running errands things like that. Maybe a number of them want to act and want some experience. This is a good opportunity for the kids. You might not be capable of pay them back immediately, but I'm sure they wont mind. Most friends will assist if you'd like it.

Personally one of the best approaches to find crew members is students. These students intend to make a name for themselves and set some films under their belt. Not every them are actors either. You'll find students to aid in all departments of one's film. Remember they're going to school within this industry, so they is going to be desperate to show their skills and do a good job to suit your needs. Most will require small pay or no pay in return for the knowledge. Check online for schools which have job boards with students looking for work.

An excellent option is placing ads. Do a search online for websites that allow you to place ads. Many are free or charge very little money. You may also place ads inside your local newspaper. It may cost a tad bit more, however it could be worthwhile if you find someone with valuable skills.
